Art House LLC.
I love researching the internet for creative, artistic websites. One of my favorite websites is called Sketchbook Project, by the arts company Art House Co Op. I was first introduced to this company when I was researching for some art exhibitions to submit to. I have actually already been a participant of the their Sketchbook Project, to which you sign up and get a blank journal to make art in, return the journal, and they go on tour with these journals to different galleries within the USA. After the tour your journal will become a permanent resident of their home library in Brooklyn, NY.
This is such a wonderful organization, every week or so I get an email that has new creative project that I can participate in. The next one I am thinking of participating in is their Pen Pal Project (http://www.sketchbookproject.com/projects/penpalpainting).
I am sure you know how the old school process of pen paling works, but this takes it a step forward. Instead of letters you will exchange paintings. When you sign up you will be given a blank canvas to paint, which then gets sent to your assigned Pen Pal (Paint Buddy), who will then also send you a painting. Your communicating with art, how awesome is that!
I love websites and art companies that offer creative outlets. This is a good website to check out if you are ever feeling in a creative block and need some inspiration. Here is my impromptu idea for the week: Check out the Sketchbook Project, and check to see if there are any projects that may spark your creative hour.
“Creativity is a great motivator because it makes people interested in what they are doing. Creativity gives hope that there can be a worthwhile idea. Creativity gives the possibility of some sort of achievement to everyone. Creativity makes life more fun and more interesting. “
